Some train journeys will be cancelled

The Department of Railways says that traffic on the Batticaloa Trincomalee railway line has been further disrupted due to the inundation of the road between Punani and Walachchena railway stations.
Due to this, the two night mail trains running between Colombo Fort and Batticaloa today (11) had to be cancelled, said the department.
In addition, the Udayadevi Express train from Colombo Fort railway station to Batticaloa and Trincomalee at 6.05 am tomorrow (12) and the train from Batticaloa to Colombo Fort have also been cancelled.
Several train jou eys on the Batticaloa route had to be canceled yesterday as well due to the flood situation.
